γνῶθι σεαυτόν.  Gnothi Seauton. Nosce te Ipsum.  Know Thyself.  It has many forms, but all mean the same.  There is no one that knows truly where the ancient words originated.  It is known, however, that its an old, powerful aphorism that has been the study and goal of countless scholars, philosophers, writers, and sages.  "Know yourself" it means in today's common words.  The meaning however, is as complicated as the world itself.

There is no one that really understands what knowing yourself means.  The most prominent belief is that its the study of knowing yourself; knowing your habits, your strengths, your weaknesses, your thoughts, your goals, your dreams.  Understand your own self, and once you are able to, you become perfect, an unstoppable force that can be controlled completely.

"I'm afraid you deceive yourself. You are not by any means free. You are only looking out of the window of your prison, as you call it. The doors are locked, just the same."

Most doctors believe that the ordinary human only uses 10% or less of its own brain.  The other 90% of the mind is dormant, asleep.  To know yourself, you would be able to unlock the full capabilities of your own mind, and this is the unexplored area, to which no one can predict its results:

• The ability to use telekinesis
• Being able to start a fire with a thought
• Putting yourself into a state of comatose and being able to come out at will
• Controlling the air and temperature around you create sculpters of compressed air(ice)
• Being able to fly

No one knows, but everyone wonders.  And thus Know Thyself was formed.  A collection of people that are not content with their former selves.  Lack of commitment, bad guilds, a yearning for self-improvement.  The reasons we came together are many, but our goal is the same: we wish to know ourselves

• We wish to find our own strengths, and perfect them
• We want to seek our weaknesses, practice, and make them our armored strengths
• We will put our goals, our dreams, our selves on the line, test our mettle, and sharpen them to the finest

Then, when we Know Thyself, we will seek others, like minded, unstoppable, encourage others to become as us, show them the truth as we know it to be, and as we march our armies into the fate, testing the bounds of life as we know it, they will see that a true knowledge of ourselves is knowledge of our power.

     Welcome to Know Thyself! We are an Age of Conan guild on the Cimmerian RP-PVP server. We are a serious raiding guild on Cimmerian, and you will not find harder working members anywhere. Many of our members put in 6-8 hours a day to crush our enemies, and steal their women!

     Know Thyself will provide a home to friends, family, and anyone needing a place to rest their head. Know Thyself will facilitate activities to do, from roleplaying events, to general questing and 6 mans, as well as endgame PvE raid content, and eventually endgame PvP siege content while in a casual, mature environment. Our mission is to keep an active, major guild on our server, while being small enough so that each member is important, as having fun is the most important part of any guild, and thus far have done an excellent job of doing so.

     A quick rundown of our guild: (10/10 importance PvE, 6/10 PvP, 3/10 RP)  Roleplay is encouraged, but not enforced.  We have a few that do it, but we are not a hardcore roleplay guild.  Our focus is on endgame PvE raid content.  We have a thriving guild city located in Poitain, largely regarded as the more visually stunning resource zone in Age of Conan.

     We have secured a Battle Keep in Poitain as well, as proof of our dominance on Cimmeria.  We also have a large growing PvP part of the guild that participates in regular PvP, from world encounters, to being in charge of defending against seiges and keeping intel on KoS guilds.

     Regarding other guilds, we prefer treaties to violence, and will seek allies over enemies.  However we also encourage practice PvP, as long as levels are within 7 levels of us.  We do not allow spawn camping, and will retaliate against any attacks made against us with the full force of Know Thyself if provoked.
